Jordan Brand and Carmelo Anthony ‘Go Orange’

In homage to Carmelo Anthony's Syracuse University playing days, the Jordan Brand will debut an orange colorway of the Melo M7 Future Sole during tonight's Knicks-Pistons game. In addition, in paying tribute to Syracuse University's 2003 national championship team of which Anthony was a star, the shoe will be sported by members of the Syracuse University men's basketball team as it opens NCAA tournament competition against Indiana State.

The Future Sole program is dedicated to giving high school and college students the chance to have their design work seen by some of the industry’s biggest designers. The 2010 competition kicked off in April and after 22,000 consumer participants, the competition was whittled down to just 10. All finalists were flown to Nike headquarters to show off their designs where 16-year-old Michigan native Allen Largin was crowned the latest Future Sole winner. Largin will receive $5,000 in computer equipment and a $5,000 donation to his high school.

The Melo M7 will hit stores July 1st for suggested retail price of $130.
