On Sunday, September 9, Durango unveiled the new city collection for Spring ’13 at a gallery in the Meatpacking District. Guests viewed Durango’s art installation, “Durango Loves New York,” featuring photographs taken by Ashley Sky Walker of up-and-comers in New York’s style, music and art scene.
Subjects included actress Kate Lillecrapp, stylist Kareem James, journalist Zandile Blay, musician Rodney James and Daniel Julez Smithson, son of Solange Knowles. Each sported boots from the Durango Boot City Collection.
Guests received the “Durango Loves New York” book, which includes Walker’s photos and images of the boots from the spring line. From lace-ups to buckle details, the boots, in variations of black and brown, give the impression of broken-in favorites ready to hit the streets of the Big Apple.
