In response to the recent earthquake and tsunami disaster in Japan, Dansko has committed $125,000 in shoes and financial aid to industry charity Soles4Souls. Dansko employees made monetary donations with the West Grove, PA-based company matching each dollar contributed.
“For us, giving back to the local and global community is a guiding principle and our relief effort for Japan is part of our ongoing partnership with Soles4Souls,” says Dansko Co-Founder and CEO Mandy Cabot.”We work with Soles4Souls because they are very effective in their efforts to reach people in need, and in this case by providing for the survivors and their families in Japan.”
Already, Soles4Souls has collected as many as 100,000 shoes in a quick response to the disaster in Japan.
