Seventeen-year-old Melanie Oudin of Georgia is making waves at the U.S. Open in New York, and the Internet is afire with searches not just on her tennis stats but her unmissable footwear.
On Monday, Oudin bested 13th seeded Nadia Petrova to move forward to the quarterfinals, and did so in a pair of custom designed Adidas shoes (in pink and yellow, at her request), with the word “believe” emblazoned near the heel. As a nod to her kicks, Cher’s hit song “Believe” filled the stadium after Oudin’s win. Read more about the up-and-coming tennis star and her shoes here.
