Converse City Carnage hits New York City

Let’s face it: More often than not, free outdoor events are a washout. (And I’m not talking about the weather.) That wasn’t the case last weekend when Converse brought City Carnage to New York City, a free two-day event celebrating music and skateboarding at Hudson River Park.

Let’s face it: More often than not, free outdoor events are a washout. (And I’m not talking about the weather.) That wasn’t the case last weekend when Converse brought City Carnage to New York City, a free two-day event celebrating music and skateboarding at Hudson River Park. On Friday, a skateboarding demonstration hosted by Converse Skating Ambassadors  Kenny Anderson, Nick Trapasso and the entire Converse skate team took place at the refurbished Pier 62 skate park, while the following day saw Brooklyn, NY-based noise-pop duo Sleigh Bells headline a free concert in the field next door, with performances by Rye Rye, JEL and Mr. Dream.
