What do stand-up comedians, baseball players and footwear have in common? This month, they’re all helping to raise money for an amazing cause!

Actor-slash-comedian Joel McHale–you probably know him from E!’s Friday night hit, “The Soup,” or NBC’s “Community”–and Los Angeles Dodgers first baseman James Loney are joining forces to kick off the Fourth Annual Hillsides Foster Soles, an online auction of celebrity-autographed shoes, accessories, headshots and other personal items that benefits Hillsides, an L.A.-based foster care children’s charity.

The online auction, which runs from April 25th to May 5th, will kick off on Wednesday, April 25, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Bar Celona in Pasadena. As if McHale and Loney weren’t enough, Dr. Drew Pinsky–of VH1’s “Celebrity Rehab” fame–will serve as honorary chair and celebrity auctioneer.

Participants both online and at the kick-off event on the 25th will have the chance to nab personal pieces from the likes of such A-listers as Elton John, Denzel Washington, Anderson Cooper, Chelsey Handler and Mario Lopez, among many others. Not only will bidders be able to snatch up items like shoes, purses and belts, but they’ll also be able to get their hands on signed scripts and set visits.

Do I have any starting bids?
