Saturday night’s Paper magazine bash for the grand opening of Camper’s New York flagship store drew many familiar Fashion Week faces. Sean Lennon and girlfriend Charlotte Kemp spun Indie rock and Prince during the night. Camper found Lorenzo Fluxa held court and Kelly Osbourne stopped in.
The celebration was a unique grand opening. The Madison Avenue store actually opened for business back in June 2009. During the trial run the interior of the store was kept bare with white walls for customers to graffiti. Now the store is decked out in Camper’s signature shade of red, panels of molded rattan and burlap-covered lighting. The bold mix of textures is representative of Camper’s collaboration with menswear designer Bernhard Wilhelm, who also helped design the store.
