Congratulations are in order to Bill Taylor, who was recently named vice president of sales and marketing at active sandal and clog brand Birki’s. In his new post, Taylor will develop programs that strengthen Birki’s brand positioning with existing customers, as well as drive growth in new trade and consumer channels such as premier independents, department stores, outdoor and athletic specialty, home and garden, and culinary.
Taylor most recently served as president and CEO of Sanita, a Danish clog maker, where he led U.S. growth and development. He also held senior sales positions at Aicad SRL, Diesel Footwear, Tommy Hilfiger Footwear and The Rockport Company.
“Birki’s is an authentic, active brand with strong equity among retailers and consumers,” Taylor says. “There’s great opportunity for growth, due to the brand’s continued product innovations. We’re going to aggressively pursue new and existing market segments, as we’ve only just begun to realize the brand’s full potential.”
Based at the company’s U.S. headquarters in Novato, CA, Taylor will lead a team of dedicated territory managers based in key regional markets, as well as an inside sales team based in Novato.
