Rob Pruitt x Autry Sneaker Debuts At Art Basel

A Miami Beach gas station is transformed into a gallery to display the collab.

Last week, Italian sneaker brand Autry and American artist Rob Pruitt debuted their limited-edition collab during Art Basel Miami. The duo transformed an iconic gas station into the “Autry Art Station,” with refrigerator shelves stocked with the sneaker, a mirrored-silver design inspired by Rob Pruitt’s celebrated chrome tire sculptures.

The Rob Pruitt x Autry sneakers are available to shop on the brand’s website for $380. Only 2,500 units are available globally, making the shoes a collector piece for both sneakerheads and art aficionados alike. The design blends futurism with the brand’s signature nostalgia and old school Americana. (Autry is inspired by Jim Autry, who designed a tennis court sneaker branded with his own name in the ’80s. In 2019, four Italian entrepreneurs revived the brand.)

Autry celebrated the release with a swanky soiree in Miami Beach, attended by an array of artists, CEOs, and influencers. Attendees rocked a mix of streetwear, slip dresses, and metallic clothing inspired by Pruitt.
