The Shoes That Strutted the Streets at New York Fashion Week

Our favorite off-runway footwear moments.

We all know that some of the best fashion week moments happen off the runway. The street style during last week’s shows was on full display, but you’d be hard pressed to pinpoint one trending aesthetic or must-have item in this anything-goes era of personal style. The same goes for shoes — Manhattan’s most fashionable stomped around the city in an array of knee-high boots, pointy-toe pumps, and decked-out kicks. We’ve rounded up some of our favorite looks.

Star-Studded Street Style at alexanderwang

A whose who of fashion insiders attended alexanderwang’s activation during New York Fashion Week. Doechii, Serena Page, Kordell Beckham, Kaylor Martin, Kendall Washington, Lisa Barlow, Meredith Marks, Jessel Taank, Josie Conseco, Sophia Culpo, Symone, Rickey Thompson, and Whitney Port were among the famous faces at the event. Many dressed in the designer, rocking the brand’s signature leather pieces and black-and-gray aesthetic. Shoes saw a lot of pointed toes, chunky black boots, and even the return of the elevated thong sandal.

Bach Mai Spring/Summer 2025, Presented by Leviev at Chelsea Factory

Fine jewelry brand Leviev joined designer Bach Mai as presenting partner for its “Invincible Summer” fashion show on September 8 at New York City’s Chelsea Factory. Saudi princess and fashion entrepreneur Deena Aljuhani Abdulaziz attended the presentation, wearing a suite of Leviev jewelry. Actor Caylee Cowen, media personality Liza Koshy, and social influencer Amina Kadyrova were also in attendance. Guests paired formal looks with an array of heels including metallics, strappy sandals, and colorful pumps.

Art Hearts Fashion at The Angel Orensanz Foundation

As one of the most inclusive platforms in the fashion industry, Art Hearts Fashion continued to set the standard at New York Fashion Week. It celebrated diversity in design, talent, and culture from more than 35 international designers at The Angel Orensanz Foundation. An array of celebrities, influencers, and media guests attended the shows, and their street style was caught on the step and repeat throughout the week. Black leather boots were a top choice along with strappy sandals and decked-out kicks.
