Merrell, a division of Wolverine Worldwide, is partnering with Team Rubicon, a veterans-led disaster response organization. Team Rubicon takes the skills and experience of military veterans and pairs them with first responders and emergency managers to serve communities affected by disaster across the United States and around the world. To date, Merrell has donated more than 1,000 pairs of boots to Team Rubicon volunteers and staff.
Earlier this month, the Merrell Work team flew to Houston to thank and support the volunteers and staff still hard at work helping to rebuild after the devastation caused two years ago by Hurricane Harvey. To date, Team Rubicon has rebuilt more than 30 homes in Houston. The Merrell team hosted a dinner and private concert, followed by a day volunteering alongside the Team Rubicon crew.
One of the boots donated is the Moab Vertex Mid CT, featuring a new underfoot experience that returns energy where it’s needed most—in your feet. The COMFORTBASE footbed and midsole technologies are designed to cradle feet in all-day comfort. Premium leather and breathable mesh upper and a lightweight, non-metallic composite toe make the Moab Vertex Mid CT suitable for a variety of work conditions.
“We know our consumers are hardworking and often on their feet all day,” states Greg Glover, product director for Merrell Work. “The last thing they should have to worry about when focusing on the job at hand is their footwear. The Moab Vertex provides endless comfort, allowing for greater piece of mind and better performance throughout the day.”
Good job! Merrell Work and Team Rubicon members strike a pose after rebuilding a Houston-area home damaged by Hurricane Harvey.
