Kamik, makers of outdoor footwear, celebrated the 25th anniversary of its Littleton, NH, factory this week with a special event honoring its employees and local business partners.
The company, which has been honing its expertise and craftsmanship from generation to generation since 1898 with a goal of protecting playful feet and our natural playground for generations to come, chose Littleton as the home for its first U.S. factory back in 1993.
“I still can’t believe it was 25 years ago that Kamik started its U.S. manufacturing here,” states Joe Bichai, vice president of manufacturing. “It all seems like yesterday. I never thought that one day we would even outgrow this building that was too big initially. We now have a second sewing plant down the street.”
To date, Kamik has produced more than 23 million pairs of ‘Made in the USA’ footwear in the most sustainable way. The company is looking forward to a future of producing more American-made products and local jobs for its community.
