Shoes and leather accessories always go together. Hence the partnership between New York based luxury footwear brand Heirloom and high-end leather retailer Jay Kos on a Manhattan pop-up shop. Located in the heart of the West Village (400 Bleecker St.), the doors open this Saturday and will stay open through May.
“I’m excited to share the space with Jay Kos, as he is legendary when it comes to artisanal leather accessories,” says Scott Burr, founder of Heirloom. “As Heirloom’s first foray into brick-and-mortar retail, I’m looking forward to this partnership.”
The Jay Kos x Heirloom pop-up store will feature Heirloom footwear along with a curated selection of Jay Kos’ men’s ready-to-wear pieces and limited-edition exotic leather accessories. Items include a python attache, an alligator tote, a leather moto jacket and goatskin leather pants.
Launched in fall 2017, Heirloom features handcrafted shoes inspired by vintage Americana. The Tatanka boot ($550) is a silhouette combination of a Chelsea boot and a Jodhpur with fringe details along the back. The Tomahawk ($475) is a hybrid between a moccasin/sneaker (pictured below), and the Morrison jogger ($325) is inspired by the retro running shoes of the ’70s.
“While renovating my store on Mott Street, it will be great to bring my collections to the West Village and partner with Heirloom!” Jay Kos says.
