With fall just around the corner and back-to-school in full swing, it’s a prime time to focus on education. Bucketfeet and The Lonely Whale Foundation (which was founded in 2015 by Adrian Grenier and Lucy Sumner) are teaming up to offer a cause-worthy shoe that is not only stylish but also brings advocacy to marine life species and their health.
The Little Humpback by Nanac Nese was selected from the design-for-a-cause submissions by Bucketfeet’s community of 40,000 artists worldwide. With a sleek white canvas and light blue whales, the Little Humpback shoe is meant to spark a conversation about Lonely Whale’s dedication to inspire empathy toward marine species and develop lifelong advocates for ocean health.
Available for men’s and women’s, the shoe is available for pre-order on Sept. 15 and retails for $75. With each pair of shoes sold, Bucketfeet will donate $10 to help deliver educational curriculum that will inspire our youngest learners and prompt dialogue on ocean health issues.
