Early this month, Brooklyn designers Daisy Hartmann and Elizabeth NeSmith opened their first concept shop, Wild West Brooklyn, in the borough’s Williamsburg neighborhood. The pop-up shop features home goods, jewelry, clothing, accessories and Western-style boots (primarily footwear label PS Kaufman). The shop celebrated its grand opening last weekend with special in-store performances by two country singers as well the debut of Nudie’s Rodeo Tailors’ collaboration with lingerie label Daisy & Elizabeth. As part of that, customers had own denim customized with a Nudie’s rhinestone eagle decal. The designers hope this shop is the first of a multi-city experience. “We have always envisioned having a boutique for Daisy & Elizabeth, one that encompassed all aspects of our customer’s lifestyle,”offers NeSmith, adding, “We wanted to create a one-stop shop for the ‘modern cowgirl’ that embodies the free-spirit and strong will of the women we dress.”
