If ever there was a shoe that united the blogging community, the Jeffrey Campbell Lita was it. Nary a day goes by that you don’t see at least one person stumbling by or posing in a pair. Now British fashion sensation Motel Rocks (think Nasty Gal) gives the towering bootie a makeover, plastering it in school-style doodles with a clear Perspex heel.
Launching in July, it’s part of a limited-edition collaboration that includes 10 apparel styles and three shoes in an exclusive Motel print. Ever deface your textbooks with Wite-Out and Sharpie sketches? Taking inspiration from that, the collection is brought together with a hand drawn print and the unsystematic and random positioning means that every piece will see a slight variation in where the print lies.
In addition to the Lita, a wedge sandal with cut-out detailing and a 90s inspired platform shoe with a chunky block heel make up Motel’s first foray into footwear.
