Metallic heels have been taking the spotlight on the red carpet recently, but this particular style is about to have its moment on the runway. That’s thanks to a partnership between DSW and designer Christian Cowan, who has selected key styles from the retailer to pair with his FW25 collection. Following the duo’s debut at New York Fashion Week last September, this year’s collaboration takes the partnership up a notch. Cowan is introducing six exclusive garments designed to incorporate shoes from DSW.
“I enjoyed working with DSW so much last season, that I was inspired to create pieces of my collection entirely out of DSW shoes. With the looks incorporating the DSW shoes, I’ve tried to hit different avenues. Like, we’ve got our downtown cool girl mini party dress that’s quite avant-garde, but then we’ve also got like a Cannes film festival gown, but also there is my version of a workwear suiting moment. And just really showing different types of women in this make-believe world where they were like I’m just going to wear these shoes all over my body.” —Christian Cowan
