Runner’s World Awards

Rodale's running publication recognizes the "Best Shoe in the World."

Last week in New York City, in congruence with the New York City Marathon, Runner’s World magazine held a global shoe summit to honor it’s 2016 International Shoe Awards. The pub recognized Saucony’s Triumph ISO 2 as the editor’s choice for “Best Shoe in the World.” The sneaker received high marks for forefoot cushioning, weight, and its signature Everun insole.

“Each year, the international Runner’s World editors convene for a global shoe summit. We meet with a range of shoe companies to discuss the latest trends, new releases and industry updates,” explains the magazine’s U.S. editor in chief, David Willey. “It is important that we work to provide our more than 5.7M readers across the globe high-quality running information and advice.”

Other kicks of note included New Balance’s Fresh Foam Vongo, named best debut; the Adidas Adizero Adio 3, Best Update; Brooks’ Ghost 9, awarded Best Buy; and the Brooks Cascadia 11, Best Trail.
