This week, leading comfort and lifestyle brand Clarks announced that after nearly 15 years with the company, George Molyneux will retire from the business in January 2017. Molyneux served as vice president and general manager of Clarks Canada, based in the region’s Oakville, Ontario office. “Under George’s leadership, our Canadian business has grown into a key contributor of the Clarks portfolio,” offers Gary Champion, President, Clarks Americas. “George led strong growth in our wholesale channel and directed the launch of our licensed store business in Canada. We now have a loyal customer base in a country that is teeming with potential for future growth.”
Industry veteran Gino Stinziani will step into the (always comfortable) shoes this January to serve as senior vice president and general manager, Canada. Stinziani has more than 25 years of sales and management experience in the footwear and apparel industry (including 10 years with Clarks), most recently working as vice president for Geox Canada.“George and his team have worked hard to establish a very strong foundation for Clarks in Canada,” adds Joe Casagrande, SVP/head of sales. “When we combine that foundation with Gino’s immense knowledge of our business, deep experience within the Canadian market and passion for the footwear industry, Clarks is positioned very well for future growth.”
