RG Barry Donates Masks, Slippers and Bags to Healthcare Professionals

To help increase New York City’s supply capacity amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, RG Barry Corporation, makers of Dearfoams and Baggallini, is donating 100,000 masks to city hospitals through New York State Governor Andrew Cuomo’s office. In addition to protective masks, Dearfoams slippers and Baggallini bags will also be distributed to healthcare workers throughout the city.

“All of us at RG Barry Brands want to help protect and make people’s lives better, and we hope the masks, washable slippers and washable bags will do that,” says Bob Mullaney, RG Barry president and CEO. “We are beyond thankful and inspired by the heroic efforts of healthcare workers everywhere.”

“I’m proud and thankful that our RG Barry team was able to secure much needed masks for our communities in this time of great need and hope that our Dearfoams slippers and Baggallini bags can provide some comfort for those on the frontlines,” says Sean Quinn, chairman of RG Barry and principal at Mill Road Capital. “The RG Barry family stands behind our nation’s healthcare workers and we will continue to support them however we can.”

In order to provide further relief and support to healthcare workers, both Dearfoams and Baggallini plan to launch a “buy one, give one” program on their websites where consumers who purchase a pair of slippers or a bag will automatically have a pair of slippers or bag donated on their behalf. Starting on Apr. 7, those in the medical community can redeem one free pair of slippers and one bag, while supplies last, through the brands’ websites Dearfoams.com and Baggallini.com and have the items shipped directly to them at no cost. Dearfoams and Baggallini will provide further support for this initiative through extended communication on their websites, social channels and email marketing platforms. To further help ease stress and provide moments of comfort during this unprecedented time, Dearfoams is also launching “At Home on Dearfoams,” a two-week Instagram series featuring self-care activities and wellness tips. The series begins Apr. 5, 2020. For a lineup of events, follow @Dearfoams on Instagram.
