Two Ten marks Veterans Day with a new effort to assist the industry’s army vets

Image and video hosting by TinyPicTwo Ten Footwear Foundation has today announced the launch of its Footwear Warriors Phase II Campaign, a concentrated three-month effort to increase the number of scholarships made available for veterans working in or returning to the footwear industry by raising $60,000 by Feb. 28, 2015. If this goal is reached, the scholarships funds earmarked for veterans will total $360,000.

The Footwear Warriors Scholarship Fund was first made possible by Quabaug Corporation, Vibram and the Donahue family with an initial commitment of $130,000. “We created this scholarship to give something back to those men and women who have sacrificed so much for us,” says Kevin Donahue, chairman and CEO of Quabaug Corporation and Two Ten Honorary Board member.

Two Ten President Neal Newman said in a statement that $30,000 has been raised “in record time” with gift funds from Donahue, Rocky Brands, Vibram and W.L. Gore. This will be used to match contributions up to $30,000.
