Nurse Mates Launches 2nd Annual Campaign to Combat Childhood Cancer

Nurse Mates, a leading healthcare footwear provider, has launched its second-annual #GiveHeartsForKids Campaign to raise money for children’s cancer research. For every pair purchased on Nursemates.com during September (Childhood Cancer Awareness Month), the company will donate $10 to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. In addition, $1 will be donated for every image featuring a heart posted to Instagram using hashtag #GiveHeartsForKids during the campaign.

“As our company has always valued giving back to the community, we fully commit to National Awareness Month for Childhood Cancer,” states David Issler, president and creative director of Nurse Mates, a division of H.H. Brown Shoe Company. “Witnessing how this campaign resonated with so many people last year was incredibly rewarding and has encouraged us to aim to increase our donation and engage more individuals to become involved this year.” Issler adds, “This cause encompasses the essence of our community and further demonstrates our commitment to supporting children’s cancer research.”

Nurse Mates’ goal is to donate $25,000 through the initiative, doubling last year’s contribution. One hundred percent of donations and up to $10,000 generated from the #GiveHeartsForKids social submissions will directly benefit the hospital.
