This past Saturday, My Mixtapez and Jordan Brand held a special event in Austin, TX, during SXSW featuring an art instillation of rare childhood photos of hip-hop legend Notorious B.I.G. The evening, which also featured a performance by The LOX and Justin Combs, was attended by such celebrities as Mase, Nick Grant and Gizzle. The grand finale, however, was the reveal of an exclusive Notorious B.I.G. Jordan 13 sneaker, designed in collaboration with my Mixtapez.
“The real focus is the celebration of life. We lost Notorious B.I.G. 20 years ago, and 20 years ago Michael Jordan put out a Jordan 13,” offers President of Bad Boy James Cruz. “So to put these two brands together, along with the Bad Boy brand and My Mixtapez brand, brings together a force of positive energy for Hip Hop culture.”
