March 31st celebrated the re-launch of the iconic L.A. Gear brand. To kick off the new collection is the limited edition release of “Liquid Gold L.A. Gear Lights” collaboration with hip hop recording artist Tyga at Shiekh Shoes on Hollywood Blvd in Los Angeles. The kicks come in a solid metallic gold upper with black highlights and outsole, complete with lights in the heel. The style pays tribute to the classic ’80s L.A. Lights sneakers from L.A. Gear. Tyga met fans and signed autographs at the event.
This event marked the return of the ’80s and ’90s hit brand. The new collection pays homage to its roots fusing throwback details from beloved styles with modern updates. Previous collaborators include Michael Jackson, Paula Abdul and Kareem Abdul Jabbar and Lance Jackson, Vice President at L.A. Gear, promises more exciting new collaborations to come.
